Seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer familiar with electro-mechanical components and Pro-Audio systems.

 Description:

• Creation and refinement of technical mechanical part and assembly drawings to capture design intent and document the key aspects necessary to accomplish the manufacturing goals of a project.
 
• Manage or scope investigations into form/function of a feature or set of features in a design.
 
 • Work with the other Pro audio Engineering teams (Systems and Transducers) to develop key mechanical assemblies.
 
• Introduce and develop advanced mechanical engineering disciplines such as FEA, FMEA, thermal/static/dynamic/stress modeling and analysis among others.
 
 • Work closely with partners manufacturing facilities to transition and support the manufacture of loudspeaker products, transducers, electronics and sub-assemblies.
 
• Communicate, interact and leverage technology partners.
 
• Discover and propose new ideas and technologies to the engineering and marketing teams

Skills Required:
 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
 
• 3 years minimum experience in design and development of mechanical products and assemblies
 
• Engineering experience and formal training in MCAD tools
 
• Willingness and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
 
• Strong desire to work in the audio and sound reinforcement business
 
 • Work in a collaborative multi disciplined team environment

Experience Required:
 
• 3 years minimum experience in design and development of mechanical products and assemblies
 
• Engineering experience and formal training in MCAD tools

Preferred Characteristics:
 
• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
 
• Engineering experience and proficiency in CAD simulation tools and techniques • FEA, FMEA, thermal simulation, stress analysis and other advanced mechanical engineering modeling practices.
 
• Experience designing components for injection molding, die casting, woodworking, sheet metal, stamping, CNC machining, etc.
 
• Advanced knowledge, skills and working experience in SolidWorks 3D CAD including surfacing of complex geometries.
 
• Experience in a work-group or collaborative engineering team in a matrix organization.
