Under general direction, the Software Developer will design, develop, implement and maintain new and existing enterprise solutions. Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle. 


Responsibilities 

1. Design, develop, implement and maintain physical Middleware architecture, software products, and release builds to provide integration and end-user

2. Develop applications that effectively leverage JAVA Enterprise Development framework (J2EE, Unix and Linux) in accordance with software development methodology.  

3. Perform software releases, lead software quality assurance activities, perform unit testing, and enable code reuse.

4. Provide production support and resolve escalated issues (tier 2 and 3).

5. Manage and troubleshoot middleware Java application servers (JBoss, Web Logic,

Education and Qualifications
 
1. Demonstrated proficiency in software development and design, specifically in Java.
2. Ability to integrate legacy mainframe applications with newer enterprise application development.
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Object-Oriented analysis and design.
4. Excellent documentation skills.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to create innovative solutions.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Deep understanding of application and software development lifecycle.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
9. 4+ years extensive development experience with JBoss required.
10. 3+ years experience with Agile methodology.
11. Experience with Java application servers.
12. Experience with Oracle databases, and PL/SQL.
13. Integration and ETL experiences with a Retail ERP system.
14. Any Middleware certification preferred.
15. Experience with Oracle RMS (Retek) v10 or newer preferred.
16. Retail background preferred. .
 17. 4+ years Linux & Unix experience.
