Supply Planner

Inventory Management • Procure for discrete group of SKUs with guidance from the Manager, Sales and Operations Planning • Manage requirements for all MRP controlled materials by processing computer generated action and exception messages and reports, analyzing the purchase plan, then coordinating with the supplier • Work with repair facilities, service centers and internal sales team to estimate the consumption of spare parts and release Purchase Orders to external suppliers. If change is required, analyze and make decisions that will rectify the problem, coordinating with the supplier on any adjustments to the plan. • Establish channels, authorize, plan and oversee the acquisition, receipt and/or distribution of inventory to satisfy customer parts requirements. This includes resolution of any discrepancies or problems, and authorizing revisions to the materials management plan, as necessary. • Perform other duties as assigned. Material Master/Purchase Info Record Maintenance • Create all material masters and purchase info records for new product introductions using POR sheet as a guide • Change material master and purchase info record fields as required to facilitate smooth purchasing, import, warehousing, transportation, sales, distribution, credit activities, or any other non-accounting maintenance required of the material master • Monitor changes done to Material master by other global regions and maintain high accuracy of data by feedback and by implementing standard practices. • Perform other duties as assigned. Key sales account Maintenance • Coordinate with sales/internal divisions and customer to manage direct shipments from factory for big box dealers in the US or our distributors in Canada and Mexico • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Skills Required:
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, purchasing contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete and/or abstract variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have strong knowledge of MRP, Planning, Purchasing, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience in ordering; procurement, production control, factory support, production scheduling and/or capacity planning
 
Education:
Associates degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in ordering; procurement, production control, factory support, production scheduling and/or capacity planning Or a Bachelors degree in operations management, supply chain management, finance, or accounting and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a supply planner
