Share Services Manager

Working closely with our clients, Consulting professionals design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance. They develop specialized expertise—strategic, industry, functional, technical—in a diverse project environment that offers multiple opportunities for career growth. While the specific type of consulting work they do can vary, it generally aligns to management consulting, systems integration consulting or technology consulting. Typically, Consultants work at client sites, which often requires travel.
Process Excellence and Change Enablement professionals design and implement process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology and people to enable process improvements that create value for clients.
Finance and Enterprise Performance Business Managers will be asked to lead portions / phases of larger projects focused on improving the Finance Function of a Resources-based client. Key area of focus is on core finance operations and understanding underlying processes in the various Finance and Accounting areas and how to improve those processes. Person will serve as team member who can help a client understand current state processes and propose improvements to such processes, many times in the context of how a technology platform can support such processes.

Job Description:
As a Shared Services Manager focusing on multi-function shared services and global business services programs, you will work closely with our clients, providing Consulting services on the design, build, and implementation of shared services strategies that can help enhance business performance. To provide our clients with end-to-end solutions, you will work across capabilities to ensure seamless delivery with a solution that incorporates leading technologies and Business Process Outsourcing. This may require working at client sites in other cities across the US and Canada.

The successful Manager will:
· Develop shared services operating models including functions such as finance, HR, IT, supply chain/logistics, procurement, and other corporate functions
· Shape and articulate the shared services and/or global business services strategy and value proposition to C-level and VP level clients
· Apply leading practice end to end process expertise in one or more core finance, HR, IT, supply chain/logistics, procurement or other corporate functions in order to design and implement new re-engineered processes in a Shared Services or Business Process Outsourcing operating model
· Lead and work collaboratively with client team executives to plan and deliver shared services or global business services solutions
· Guide team through the to-be design of processes, related organization/role design and enabling technologies
· Guide team through requirement definition for operational reports, service level agreements, and process KPI's
· Design and implement shared services operating model, including governance and service management capabilities, along with the service catalog and service level agreements
· Manage transitions of multiple processes from sending organization to target organization - includes transition management, knowledge transfer, process re-engineering
· Manage team through business case development of shared services programs
· Develop detailed work plans, direct project teams, deliver status, meet deadlines, manage to budget, meet or exceed quality standards
· Guide team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and past experience
· Work with leadership on developing the practice through recruiting, training, mentoring, client relationships
· Serve as a subject matter advisor to the c-suite

Desired Skills & Experience

MUST HAVE
• Practical shared services consulting experience
• Minimum of 5 years of back-office operations across functions knowledge within Oil and Gas, Chemicals, or Utilities industry
• Minimum of 3 years of consulting and/or internal process improvement projects
• Minimum of 2 years of ERP experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to travel up to 100% in US and Canada
PREFERRED
• Experience leading large scale transformation programs highly preferred
• Consulting experience, preferably with a Big 4
‘A PLUS’
• Experience applying knowledge of regulatory compliance and localizations
• Prior sales experience developing responses to client proposals and participating in sales presentations to clients
OTHER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Direct experience in creating business change using enabling technologies
• Experience establishing and maintaining client relationships
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Ability to interact effectively with client executives, vendors and third party providers
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment
