  • Systems development (hardware & software) & Integration of various automotive In Vehicle Entertainment systems and features, including Touch and Gesture Controls, Displays, and other interactions to other vehicle systems.
  • These may include electrical systems for Body, Chassis/ADAS, Audio/Infotainment, Interior, or Powertrain.
  • The candidate will work with other architecture, systems, and component engineers to identify and propose architectural solutions for these systems and features for investigation on future and current vehicles.
  • The candidate will be one of the key architecture contacts for their systems and develop archetype system electrical diagrams for these systems.
  • Responsible for following one or more vehicles from an EE architecture standpoint.
  • In this area they will be responsible for evaluating features, attending platform meetings, and developing the network topology for that vehicle(s).
  • Integrate & Design vehicle and drive line controls into vehicle electrical systems;
  • Complete engineering change notice documentation to manage existing and new parts;
  • Manage engineering and project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, and functionality. Plan and track validation of components;
  • Support launch assembly as needed, and resolve field & testing issues as identified;
  • Ensure industry leading quality and reliability is met/maintained/exceeded on all components;
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and other professionals to ensure quality electrical designs;
     
Education and Experience:
  • BSME, BSEE or a similar engineering degree is required
  • 5+ years’ experience in engineering field with detailed working knowledge in automotive electrical architecture  required
  • Technical Experience in some or all of the systems below

    • Vehicle Security
    • Driver Monitoring
    • Vehicle Entry / Exit
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, collaborative team environment with good planning/tracking skills;
  • Software architecture competency
  • Vehicle Network Architecture competency
  • Ethernet communication competency
  • Confluence and/or Jira experience Ability to present an overall confidence to one's customer, a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, self-reliant and decisive
  • Self-dependent handling of the work in customer projects in the field of vehicle electrical / electronic systems integration
  • Open to learning and using new processes, software (e.g. PREEVision, etc.) and techniques and resourcefully solve complex technical issues;
  • Creation of decision templates, customer presentations and evaluation of the results
  • Awareness of automotive regulations, especially affecting instrumentation, functions, safety, and other areas impacting In vehicle Entertainment electrical/electronic design, architecture, and functionality;
  • Travel 10% to 20% of the time
