 Industrial Engineer – Process Planning

Objective of job

Develop linked process technologies and production steps 

Principal Activities

Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in internal working groups

• Create internal publications (FMEA, Flow diagram, LOP's, WI's, etc..) and present as required (internally) 
• Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external      training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries 
• Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise
• Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action 
• Conduct mainly conceptual activities within his/her area of expertise 
• Develop product and process specifications for different processes or linked individual processes, as well as test                                procedures/standards
• Suggest product or process changes in order to increase system performance and/or to better implement customer wishes 
• Develop test procedures, standards and equipment, in order to achieve the desired results, and interpret the results
• Make changes, show results and deviations 
• Create technical certification to use for changes in test procedures and equipment, in order to support new methods and      processes
• Cooperate in diagnosing system, equipment or material defects, using complex test methods and equipment 
• Develop project specifications/plans, calculations, material cost estimates and reports 
• Develop and approve drawings, Lay outs and specifications
• Conduct studies and inspections on-site
• Prepare contract and bid documentation

Position Requirements           
Specialized knowledge / Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline
·        Industrial Engineering 
·        Mechanical Engineering 
·        Electrical Engineering
Work Experience: 
  • Engineering Discipline          6 to 8 years
  • Automotive Background        3 to 5 years 
  • Project Management             1 to 2 years
Knowledge and Skills
Very strong technical knowledge in the following subjects
  • Layout Planning
  • Equipment setup and startup
  • Continuous improvement
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Microsoft office
  • Value stream mapping                                       

Preferred Knowledge and skills 

As related to internal Client topics (e.g. Optimain, Host, osys, etc.)
Good technical knowledge in the following subjects
  • SEP
  • PLM
  • MPP
  • Optimain
  • Time studies
